Satisfy Your Sweet Cravings At These 7 Dessert Shops In Klang Valley

Craving for some desserts like ice cream, frozen yogurt, sliced cakes and pastries? Well, instead of covering the well-known and established ones, we have compiled 7 of the recently-opened dessert shops in Klang Valley to satisfy your sweet cravings.

Dessert Shops in Klang Valley

1) Beloved & Co @ Bukit Jalil

This cosy space at Signature Bukit Jalil combines a gown rental boutique and a cafe, with the latter offering scrumptious pastries and desserts such as thick bread slathered with homemade biscoff sauce and sliced bananas, banana loaf and colourful macaroons. Also not to be missed: their signature refreshing Earl Grey cake that goes well with a cup of tea or coffee. Or cool down with one of their speciality beverages, namely the citrusy and butterfly pea flower-based Magic Lemonade.

2) Cakies @ TTDI

Beyond its small-shop setting lies a decadent range of cakes and other freshly-baked goods that will have you spoilt for choices. They have few of them you can try here such as their popular Pandan Gula Melaka sliced cakes, chocolate croissants and most interesting of all, bomboloni. They are basically the Italian version of doughnuts covered in granulated sugar and stuffed with sweet fillings.

3) Creem Artisan Dessert Bar @ Seksyen 17, PJ

A dessert haven for those with a sweet tooth, Creem houses a wide range of artisanal choices, sliced cakes and cookies. The former is where Creem excels the most, with signature favourites like Very Berry Cheese Ice Cream Phyllo Pastry -- a layered phyllo pastry topped with berries and cheesecake-blended gourmet ice cream. Some of the other recommended options include Fromage Cheese Fritters (deep-fried Camembert cutlets and Mozzarella sticks with berry compote, melted chocolate & mousse) and Pistachio Ganache Trio-Choux (pistachio and cream-infused white chocolate ganache served in choux pastries).

4) Engi Patisserie @ Taman Taynton View, Cheras

Amidst all the old-school shophouses lining the neighbourhood of Taman Taynton View in Cheras lies a modern patisserie, which feels like an odd one out. But then again, there's the beauty of it as Engi Patisserie offers those who stay around the area and passerby to taste their range of freshly-baked croissants, tarts and sliced cakes. They also served pancakes as well, specifically the honey-layered Sourdough Pancake. Toppings include toasted coconuts, selected berries, hazelnuts, icing sugar, rose petals and butter.

That was around 2018 and today, founding mother-and-daughter pair Kim Ngoh and Sarah Tan finally setting up their own shop in PJ's Sekysen 17. Unlike commercial ice cream varieties, they insist on using natural ingredients with no artificial colouring or preservatives. And to ensure freshness, they only make small batches.
