With its high fibre and water content, it also effectively helps maintain a healthy digestive tract. Plus, they are easy to snack on at any time! Did you know? 2) Blackberries

Besides having a high content of well-known components such as vitamin C and fibre, blackberries also are packed with vitamin K and manganese. Vitamin K is responsible for helping your blood clot (when you injure yourself), and it also promotes bone health. On the other hand, manganese may help prevent osteoporosis, manage blood sugar levels, and reduce epileptic seizures. Blackberries may also boost brain health!

High in nutrients and antioxidants, blueberries have been found to enhance the body’s killer cells, which fight against cancer cells. Apparently, blueberries are the “King of Antioxidant Foods”, and can even reduce DNA damage. Of course it’s packed with vitamin C and fibre, and its benefits include helping with weight management, promoting heart health and regulating blood sugar levels!

5) Lemons

A great antioxidant, lemons help fight free radicals. Plus, lemons are alkaline, which helps restore the body’s pH balance and improve the immune system. Lemons can also help protect the liver and reduce stress-related damage. We know lemons can be excruciatingly sour, but you don’t have to consume them as they are. All you need is a slice of lemon in a glass of water and you’re good!

Ah, ginger. If you grew up in an Asian household, you’d have heard about the “wind-ridding” properties your mum/grandma/random auntie has gone on about several times. Before we start, let’s give you a list of vegetables under this subheading. Common vegetables include cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, spinach, kale, watercress and Brussels sprouts.
