189 Heong Peng (189香饼)

While Ipoh is famous for Heong Peng (‘fragrant biscuit’), 189 Heong Peng remains traditionally unique, particularly with the method of roasting the biscuit. 189 Heong Peng uses a cement contraption and coconut husk to roast their Heong Peng. It is therefore not surprise why 189’s Heong Peng is crispy on the crust and taste heavenly within with a hint of old-school flavor.
